When the doorbell rang on Friday, September 4, 2020 at around 6:30 p.m. I had no idea what to expect. My wife, Chris, opened the door and lo and behold, a box almost her height was on the door step. Martin & Company the box read. She knew exactly what it was, the custom designed and built, Martin Guitar I won as a part of their sweepstakes. It was not just any guitar, but one that with the inlay of two seagulls in flight on the pick guard, commemorated my two departed sisters, Susan and Kathy.
